Santa Maria, California – Multiple people were injured in a three-vehicle collision that happened on Monday afternoon in Santa Maria.
The accident was reported around 1 p.m. on Highway 166 near Alamo Creek Road east of Highway 101.
Three cars reportedly collided on the freeway in unclear circumstances.
Two medial helicopters were requested.
Multiple patients were transported to the hospital by ground ambulances.
A section of Highway 166 between Highway 101 and the Cuyama Valley was closed as authorities cleared the scene.
