Temecula, California: A 23-year-old woman died after she was struck by two vehicles after an initial single-car accident on Interstate 15 in Temecula.

The collision happened just before 5 a.m. on northbound I-15 near Rainbow Canyon Road.

According to investigators, the woman was driving a Honda Accord in the slow lane when the vehicle veered to the right, hit a Caltrans fence, collided with an embankment, and then rebounded back onto the freeway.

The car came to rest facing the wrong direction in traffic lanes.
