Name of Motorcyclist Killed in San Tan Valley Crash Released

San Tan Valley, Arizona: 37-year-old Sarah Farmer-Herrera was identified as the motorcyclist who died after colliding with a pickup truck making a left turn at an intersection in San Tan Valley.

The wreck was reported around 11 p.m. Saturday at Gary Road and Silver Streak Way.

Investigators said a pickup truck driver attempted to turn left from Gary Road to Silver Streak Way and crossed directly in front of Farmer-Herrera’s motorcycle going south on Gary.

The vehicles collided, killing the rider at the scene.

The truck driver was arrested and a blood sample was taken for testing. The driver was released pending the test results.
