Napavine Man Killed in Chehalis Crash Involving Semi-Truck Identified
Chehalis, Washington: 44-year-old Bert A. Holmes, of Napavine, was identified as the driver who died after colliding with a semi-truck Tuesday afternoon in Chehalis.
The Washington State Patrol said around 2 p.m., Holmes was joining northbound Interstate 5 from Labree Road when he rear-ended a semi-truck pulling a trailer that was pulled over to the shoulder, partially blocking the right lane.
Holmes was pronounced dead at the scene.
The big rig was being driven by a 23-year-old man from San Francisco, California.
It remained unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
