Nicandro Quintanilla Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision at Nieman and Daniel Maloney in San Jose
San Jose, California – 59-year-old Nicandro Quintanilla was killed in a suspected hit-and-run collision early Wednesday morning in San Jose.
The fatal accident happened at around 4:12 a.m. at Nieman Boulevard and Daniel Maloney Drive.
A teenager was driving a black 2017 Chevrolet Camaro at a high rate of speed heading northbound on Nieman when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a white 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup truck driven by Quintanilla.
Quintanilla was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The juvenile driver fled after the crash but was later located and taken into custody.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
