Officer Injured in Fresno Crash on Highway 180 near Chestnut Avenue
Fresno, California – A Fresno police officer was injured in a car crash at a traffic stop in Fresno on Thursday night.
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 180 near Chestnut Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP officer was performing a sobriety test on a driver when another vehicle hit the back of the patrol car, injuring the officer and the DUI suspect.
The officer and the DUI suspect were injured in the crash and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
