Officer Injured in La Habra Motorcycle Accident at Lambert Road and Walnut Street
La Habra, California – An on-duty motorcycle officer was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a collision at an intersection in La Habra on Thursday morning.
According to the authorities, the accident happened around 9:15 a.m. at Lambert Road and Walnut Street.
The officer was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Lambert Road when a minivan attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Walnut Street directly in front of the motorcyclist.
The officer slammed into the passenger side of the vehicle and was ejected from his motorcycle.
The officer sustained major injuries and was taken to UCI Medical Center for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash and is investigating the incident.
