One Dead, Another Hospitalized After Head-On Crash on I-90 near Silver Lake
Silver Lake, Washington: One person died, and another was hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened Thursday morning on Interstate 90 in Silver Lake.
The accident occurred around 5:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate near Salnave Road, west of Spokane.
Authorities said a driver was heading eastbound when, for some reason, crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a pickup truck.
Emergency personnel took both drivers to Sacred Heart, where the eastbound driver died.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident.
