One Person Airlifted After Semi-Truck Collision on Highway 395 in Olancha
Olancha, California: One person was airlifted to the hospital after a collision involving a semi-truck that happened Thursday night in Olancha, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck took place around 11:24 p.m. on northbound Highway 395 near Coso Junction.
CHP said a Subaru Forester collided into the rear of a semi-truck under unclear circumstances. The Subaru caught fire after the crash.
Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene and found half of the Subaru crushed.
Highway 395 was shut down to allow a helicopter to land and airlift one person who was severely injured.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.
