One Person Injured in Hamilton City Accident

Hamilton City, California: One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Monday afternoon at an intersection in Hamilton City, the California Highway Patrol said.

A gray Ford-250 pulling a 2-axle gooseneck trailer collided with a Chrysler van at State Route 45 and County Road 32 around 2:34 p.m.

Both vehicles went off the roadway into an orchard after the impact.

The crash left a stop sign at the intersection damaged.

Glenn County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters responded to the scene.

One person was transported to Enloe Medical Center with possible major injuries.

Caltrans personnel was requested to respond and repair the damaged stop sign.

Officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
