Passenger Dies, Several Others Injured in Two-Car Collision on South Woodman Avenue and Jamie Street
One Person Killed in Bay Terraces Car Crash with Ejection
San Diego, California: A passenger died, and several others were injured in a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday night in San Diego’s Bay Terraces neighborhood.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred at around 9:24 p.m. on South Woodman Avenue at Jamie Street.
A 24-year-old man was driving a Honda south, and a 56-year-old man was driving a 2006 Kia Sedona north.
Police said the Kia driver attempted to turn onto Woodman without yielding the right of way, causing the two vehicles to collide.
One of the two passengers in the Honda was ejected from the car. The victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The other passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said the passengers were not wearing their seatbelts.
The other involved parties suffered minor injuries.
