One Person Seriously Injured in Semi-Truck Accident in Spangle

Spokane County, Washington: One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a head-on collision involving a semi-truck that happened near an intersection in Spangle.

The incident was reported around 12:12 p.m. Thursday near East Keevy Road and South Old Street.

Authorities said a car collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances. The car was impacted mainly on the passenger side.

The car driver got trapped inside. It took Spokane County Fire District 3 firefighters about 20 minutes to extricate the victim.

The driver was unconscious and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck cooperated with investigators.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
