Oregon State Police Trooper Injured in I-5 Crash in Salem
Salem, Oregon: A lieutenant suffered minor injuries after a driver rammed into a patrol vehicle Friday morning in Salem, the Oregon State Police said.
OSP said one of their lieutenants was attempting to stop a vehicle when the driver rammed into the patrol vehicle.
The patrol car spun out and hit a barrier on northbound Interstate 5 near the Market Street exit.
The driver involved fled the scene but was stopped in the Salem area.
The lieutenant suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Traffic backed up to Kuebler Boulevard following the collision.
OPS and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the accident.
