Out-Of-Control Car Hits, Kills 4 on PCH in Malibu
Malibu, California: Four people died after being struck by an out-of-control car Tuesday night on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, authorities said.
The wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 21500 block of the highway.
Investigators said a male driver lost control of his car and slammed twice into parked cars. When the vehicle hit the second set of parked vehicles, it also struck four females standing on the side of the road.
The four females died from their injuries.
Two other victims were hospitalized in unknown condition.
Authorities performed a sobriety test on the driver. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors.
At least four vehicles were involved in the collision.
PCH was shut down in both directions between Las Flores Canyon Road and Carbon Canyon Road during the investigation.
