Passenger Killed, Driver Critically Injured in Fountain Valley Crash
Fountain Valley, California: A passenger was killed, and two others were hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened Saturday night at an intersection in Fountain Valley.
The Fountain Valley Police Department said the wreck took place at about 11:50 p.m. at Bushard Street and Swift Avenue.
According to police, the driver of a silver 2005 Infiniti FX35 was traveling northbound on Bushard when, for unknown reasons, veered into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a black 2015 Nissan Sentra.
The passenger of the Sentra died on the crash scene, and the driver was hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 34-year-old Hispanic from Hawaiian Gardens, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said alcohol or drugs may have contributed to the accident.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
