Passenger Suffers Major Injuries in car Collision on Mojave Drive in Victorville

Victorville, California: A passenger sustained major injuries after he was ejected from his vehicle in a traffic collision that happened Monday morning near an intersection in Victorville.

The collision was reported around 10:52 a.m. on Mojave Drive near Diamond Road.

According to investigators, a black 2017 Toyota Camry and a gray 2024 Ford Mustang coupe were involved in the accident.

A male passenger was ejected from the Camry.

Two passersby with medical experience in a white Suburban, Rubie Rosaldo and Joe Lopez, swiftly took action to provide medical assistance to the victims before emergency personnel arrived. A tow truck driver was also helping halt oncoming traffic to prevent a secondary collision.

Police officers, Victorville Fire Department and AMR personnel responded to the scene shortly after the crash.

A helicopter was requested to airlift the male passenger who was ejected to the hospital. He was hospitalized with severe injuries.

Another male occupant in the Camry managed to use private means to go to the hospital.

The driver of the Mustang was unhurt.

A blue Toyota van at the scene was inspected by the investigators but did not show any signs of damage. It was not clear if the vehicle was involved in the crash.

Mojave Drive was shut down during the investigation.
