Pedestrian Airlifted to Hospital After Being Hit by Car in Old Town Victorville
Victorville, California: A female pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle Friday night near an intersection in Victorville.
According to the Victorville City Fire Department, the incident took place around 9:10 p.m. near Sixth Street and D Street.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the female pedestrian lying down in the roadway.
An air ambulance was requested to land at Victor Valley Global Medical Center to airlift the patient to an out-of-area trauma center. The pedestrian was taken from the scene to the awaiting helicopter by ground ambulance. Her condition remained unknown.
The driver of the Honda involved stopped and remained at the scene.
Investigators closed D Street for about two hours as they worked the scene.
