Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Car in Sacramento
Sacramento, California: One person died in a pedestrian accident that happened Saturday morning near an intersection in North Highlands, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 7 a.m. on northbound Watt Avenue near Elkhorn Boulevard just in front of Walgreens.
A pedestrian was crossing the roadway when they were hit by a car.
The pedestrian was lying on the roadway after the collision.
Authorities said the victim died from injuries sustained in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
