Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Car in Wilmington
Los Angeles, California: A 41-year-old woman is dead after she was struck by a DUI suspect Friday evening at an intersection in Wilmington.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the crash happened around 7:45 p.m. at G Street and George De La Torre Jr. Avenue.
A car was traveling westbound on G Street when it hit the pedestrian.
The victim died at the crash scene.
The driver involved remained at the scene. Police said the motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
An investigation is ongoing.
