Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Caltrain on Chestnut Street in Redwood City
Redwood City, California – A pedestrian died after being struck by a Caltrain on Tuesday morning in Redwood City.
The accident was reported around 9 a.m. in the area of Chestnut Street just south of the Redwood City station.
A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a train in unclear circumstances.
The victim was killed in the collision.
No injuries were reported among the 174 passengers of the train that was traveling from San Francisco to San Jose.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
