Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car on East Avenue I near 70th Street East in Lancaster
Lancaster, California: A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Lancaster, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident was reported around 7:08 p.m. on Avenue I, just west of 70th Street East.
Authorities said a pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle under unclear circumstances.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters responded to the scene.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
