Hayward, California: A 91-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning at an intersection in Hayward, authorities in Hayward said.
The incident was reported around 7:46 a.m. at Hesperian Boulevard and Barlett Avenue.
According to Hayward police, first responders found a 91-year-old man unresponsive. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The 61-year-old man driving the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be contributing factors.
