Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Car in Moreno Valley Crash
Moreno Valley, California: A man died after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning near an intersection in Moreno Valley, police said.
The incident was reported at around 6:53 a.m. near Iris Avenue and Perris Boulevard.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a male pedestrian was hit by a black Dodge pickup truck under unclear circumstances.
Responding officers performed life-saving measures at the scene before the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The victim later died at the hospital.
The truck driver cooperated with officers and did not appear to be under the influence.
The accident is under investigation by the Moreno Valley Traffic Reconstruction Team.
