Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle Tuesday Night in Coachella Identified
Coachella, California: 37-year-old Robert Villa died in a pedestrian accident that happened Tuesday night at an intersection in Coachella, the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner said.
The Coachella man was hit by a vehicle around 10:42 p.m. at Gateway Center and Grapefruit Boulevard.
Emergency personnel responded to the intersection and pronounced the pedestrian dead at 10:50 p.m.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Traffic lanes in the area were shut down as authorities collected information at the scene.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Thermal Station is investigating the accident.
