Pedestrian Hit and Seriously Injured by Car in Calistoga
Calistoga, California: A pedestrian suffered major injuries after being struck by a car Monday evening near an intersection in Calistoga.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident was reported around 7 p.m. near Berry Street and Washington Street.
A pedestrian was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck in the area under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters responded to the scene to help the victim.
A helicopter was requested to respond to the area and airlift the seriously injured pedestrian to the hospital.
The pickup truck was towed away for evidence.
Police officers are investigating the accident.
