Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle Last Month in San Jose Dies
San Jose, California: Authorities Tuesday said the man who was injured by a hit-and-run driver last month in San Jose succumbed to his injuries.
According to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office, 26-year-old Vincent Thien Thach was struck by a vehicle around 6:45 a.m. on January 11 near South White and Quimby roads.
The pedestrian was reportedly running in and out of traffic outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a car going west on Quimby.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
Thach was hospitalized for his injuries but died more than two weeks after the accident.
Police did not describe the suspect driver or vehicle.
