Pedestrian Hit, Seriously Injured by Car in East Los Angeles
East Los Angeles, California: A pedestrian was hit and injured by a car Saturday evening at an intersection in East Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities received reports of the crash around 7:31 p.m. at S. Atlantic and W. Whittier boulevards.
CHP said a pedestrian was in the roadway when they were struck by a car.
Responding firefighters found a 2023 white BMW 3 Series blocking the roadway, and a pedestrian sitting up and talking.
The firefighters evaluated the victim at the scene and then transported the patient to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
