Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Suspected DUI Driver at Sacramento Intersection
Sacramento, California: A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a DUI suspect early Thursday morning at an intersection near Arden Arcade in Sacramento.
According to the Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at Auburn Boulevard and Watt Avenue.
Police officers and firefighters responded to the area and found the pedestrian in the roadway with significant injuries.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
The driver of the car was arrested after police officers noticed the motorist displayed objective signs of intoxication.
The intersection was closed for several hours during the investigation.
