Pedestrian Killed During Multi-Vehicle Collision on I Street in Eureka Identified
66-Year-Old David Sprague Dies in Eureka Crash on 900 I Street
Eureka, California: 66-year-old David Sprague died after he was struck by a car involved in a multi-vehicle collision that happened last Wednesday in Eureka, the Eureka Police Department said.
The collision was reported around 1:45 p.m. in the 900 block of I Street.
Authorities said several vehicles collided in the area, and at least one of them hit Sprague.
Bystanders gave life-saving measures to the pedestrian before emergency personnel arrived and took over.
Sprague did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Several other persons from the vehicles involved were taken to hospitals with various injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
