One Person Dies in Pedestrian Accident near Atlantic and Olympic Boulevards in East Los Angeles
Pedestrian Killed, Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested After East Los Angeles Crash
Los Angeles, California: One person died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that happened Tuesday night near an intersection in East Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place around 10:57 p.m. near Atlantic and Olympic boulevards.
Police officers and other emergency personnel responded to the intersection after receiving reports of the collision.
The responders found a pedestrian who had been struck by a hit-and-run driver.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect car, a red Toyota Celica, was later found in a parking lot at the Commerce Casino at 6131 Telegraph Road in Commerce. The suspect driver was arrested.
