Pedestrian Killed in I-580 Crash in Hayward
Hayward, California: One person died in a traffic collision involving a pedestrian that happened Monday evening in Hayward, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officers received reports of a two-vehicle crash around 6 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 580 and the Highway 238 connector.
First responders pronounced a man dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the deceased was involved in a separate collision on I-580 westbound before he was hit.
An investigation is ongoing.
