Wilmington, California – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a pedestrian accident that killed one person on Wednesday night in Wilmington.
The deadly accident happened at around 9:14 p.m. on July 31, on the Harbor (110) Freeway near the Anaheim Street exit.
Police said a pedestrian was walking in one of the northbound lanes of the freeway when a white hatchback struck him.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the crash site.
Officials closed down four northbound lanes of the freeway to give way to an on-scene investigation.
The incident remains under investigation.
