Elk Grove, California – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car early Friday morning in Elk Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Calvine Road and Cliffcrest Drive.
The 31-year-old man was walking in a bike lane when he was struck by a Toyota SUV.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the car was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
