Perluss Anthony Hit and Killed while Skateboarding on State Route 79 in Warner Springs
Perluss Anthony ID’d as Victim of Warner Springs Accident
Warner Springs, California: Authorities identified a 16-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a car while skateboarding on Sunday night in Warner Springs.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner said Perluss Anthony died at a hospital after the collision that happened around 8:05 p.m. on Highway 79 north of Peralta Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Anthony was riding a skateboard north in the southbound lanes when a 74-year-old man from Warner Springs driving a 2017 Mitsubishi south on the highway hit him.
Anthony was taken to Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar with life-threatening injuries. The teen was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:15 p.m.
Investigators said impairment was not a contributing factor.
