Peter Preciado Killed in Bakersfield Crash at California and Chester

Bakersfield, California – Peter Tony Preciado, 29, of Bakersfield, has been identified as the man who died in a two-vehicle collision that happened at an intersection in Bakersfield last week Thursday.

The fatal crash was reported at the intersection of California and Chester Avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A sedan and a pickup truck are reported to have collided at the intersection in unclear circumstances.

Preciado, who was a passenger in the sedan, was transported to the hospital, where he died.

The female driver of the sedan was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The pickup truck driver, Luis Esquivel, 48, of Bakersfield, was determined to have been driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, murder and driving with a suspended license.
