Police Investigating Deadly Collision Involving 2 Motorcyclists in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California: A motorcyclist died, and another was hospitalized after they were hit by a vehicle Wednesday at an intersection in Bakersfield.
According to Bakersfield police, two motorcyclists were traveling side-by-side when they turned onto Jet Way from Rosedale Highway and were hit by a car heading east on Rosedale Highway.
One died at the crash scene, and the other was hospitalized with major injuries. Both riders were only identified as men.
The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with investigators.
The intersection is controlled by a traffic signal, but police are still investigating to determine what factors led to the accident.
