Mesa, Arizona: A police officer was hospitalized after his patrol car was hit by another vehicle in Mesa.
Police said the collision happened on Loop 202 at McDowell Road.
The police officer had just finished a traffic stop when his car was rear-ended by a car driven by a woman.
The officer was hospitalized with a possible concussion.
The woman was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
Investigators closed the on-ramp and an additional lane as they worked the scene.
