Pregnant Utah Woman Killed, Husband Injured in Head-On Crash in Wickenburg
Wickenburg, Arizona: Authorities said 24-year-old Chloe Stott and her unborn child were killed in a head-on collision that happened Wednesday night on US-93 in Wickenburg.
Chloe’s husband, Parker Stott, was hospitalized airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
The collision happened just before 8:20 p.m. on US-93 at milepost 192.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Parker was driving a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck with Chloe as her passenger. The couple was traveling from Utah, where Chloe owns a business, to Arizona to spend Christmas with family.
Investigators said the accident happened when Parker was passing vehicles in a legal passing zone but the vehicle failed to complete the pass and collided head-on with a white Volvo commercial truck-tractor pulling a trailer carrying home goods.
Chloe and her unborn baby boy died in the collision.
Parker was taken to the hospital by air ambulance, where he was placed under intense care.
The driver of the semi-truck was hospitalized as a precaution.
Investigators closed the highway for more than six hours as they worked the scene.
