Qinghua Liu Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Saratoga Avenue
San Jose, California – Qinghua Liu, 79, of San Jose, was killed in a pedestrian accident that happened in San Jose on Sunday evening.
The accident was reported around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and the Interstate 280 off-ramp.
San Jose Police Department says the man was walking eastbound on Saratoga Avenue in the north crosswalk when he was hit by a black 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage traveling northbound on Saratoga Avenue.
Liu was killed in the accident, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
