Ramiro Ortiz Dies in Hesperia Crash on SR 138 near Summit Post Office Road
Hesperia, California – 58-year-old Ramiro Ortiz has been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroners’ office as the man who died in a head-on collision on Sunday morning in Hesperia.
The fatal crash was reported around 4:18 a.m. on Highway 138, between Summit Post Office Road and Little Horsethief Canyon Road.
The California Highway Patrol says a white Mercedes and a dark gray Chevrolet Camaro were involved in the accident.
Ortiz, a Victorville resident, was driving the Mercedes and was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
The California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Station is investigating the cause of the accident.
