Reseda Man in Critical Condition After Woodland Hills Bicycle Accident

Woodland Hills, California: 65-year-old Jorge Pareta Sr. was hospitalized in critical condition after being involved in a bicycle accident Thursday last week in Woodland Hills.

The Reseda man was riding his bicycle to work at Trader Joe’s when a car made a sudden right turn in front of him, causing him to slam his brakes to avoid a crash.

The cyclist was sent into the air and fell face-first onto the pavement.

Medical personnel transported Pareta to the hospital with a fracture in his neck, a broken nose, and swelling in the brain. He was placed unresponsive in the ICU, paralyzed from the neck down.
