Man Killed in Collision at Monterey Road and Live Oak Avenue in Morgan Hill Identified
Robert Valderrama Killed in Morgan Hill Crash at Monterey Road and Live Oak Avenue
Morgan Hill, California – 35-year-old Robert Andrew Valderrama has been identified by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office as the man who died in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Morgan Hill on Thursday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident was reported at around 1:55 p.m. at Monterey Road and Live Oak Avenue.
Vallebueno was driving a car southbound on Monterey Road when he ran a red light and was hit by a Freightliner truck turning left onto Monterey Road.
Villebueno’s car then collided head-on with another car stopped at a red light.
Vallebueno was pronounced dead at the scene and the other driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Another vehicle was hit by the debris from the crash but the driver was not injured.
The Freightliner driver was also unhurt.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Susanville, California: One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision involving two vehicles that took place late Thursday afternoon in Susanville.
The wreck was reported to authorities around 5:22 p.m. near Highway 395.
One of the vehicles involved was a Subaru.
One person sustained major injuries, including a possible broken finger.
The family of a pregnant woman involved in the crash went to the scene and took her to the hospital as a precaution.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Bakersfield, California: Servando Gonzalez-Sosa, of Mexico, was the person who died in a traffic collision back in June on Comanche Road in Bakersfield, the Kern County Coroner’s Office said.
The wreck took place around 5:03 p.m. on June 25, 2024, near Highway 178.
Authorities said Gonzalez-Sosa was involved in a crash with another vehicle.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP handled the investigation.

Azusa, California: The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly car accident that happened Thursday afternoon on State Route 39 in Azusa.
The accident occurred around 5 p.m. about a mile south of East Fork Road.
A gray Honda Accord and a black SUV were involved in the crash.
Several people were able to get out of the cars, but one person was reportedly trapped inside the wreckage.
Azusa police and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:35 p.m.
Details about if the other parties involved were injured or the extent of their injuries were not provided.
CHP officers are investigating the crash.
