Roger McMillan Killed in Petaluma Pedestrian Accident on Skillman Lane
Petaluma, California – Roger McMillan, 84, has been identified as the man who died after being struck by a car on Monday night in Petaluma.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened on Skillman Lane near Thompson Road at around 8:20 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
McMillan crossed Skillman Lane on foot to check the mailbox when he was struck by a Land Rover traveling westbound.
McMillan was killed in the accident, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Land Rover stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
