Roman Lizaola-Montano Killed in Newport Beach Crash at Jamboree Road and Sea Vista Drive
Newport Beach, California – Roman Lizaola-Montano, 46, of Santa Ana, died after being hit by a car on Tuesday night in Newport Beach.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:40 p.m. at Jamboree Road and Sea Vista Drive.
Jesus Bartolo, 30, from Santa Ana, was driving a silver Toyota Camry when he struck Lizaola-Montano.
Lizaola-Montano was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bartolo drove away after the crash but was later located and arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
More details about the accident were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
