Ronald Dickerson Killed in Santa Maria Crash on Highway 101
Santa Maria, CA. – Ronald Dickerson, 80, has been identified as the man who died in a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon in Santa Maria.
The fatal collision happened around 12:15 p.m. on Highway 101 near Union Valley Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Santa Maria man was driving a 2007 Honda Civic southbound on Highway 101 when he failed to slow down for traffic and crashed into the back of a Dodge Durango.
The impact of the collision caused the Durango to crash into a 1996 Dodge 2500 pickup truck.
Dickerson and two passengers in the Dodge Durango were transported to Maria Medical Regional Center. Sadly, Dickerson died while receiving treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
