Gilroy, California – 44-year-old Rufina Hernandez Estrada has been identified as the woman who died in a car crash on New Year’s Day in Gilroy.
The fatal collision happened on Highway 152 near Lovers Lane at around 12:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Nissan SUV and a Chevrolet pickup truck collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
The Gilroy woman was killed in the accident.
Two other people were injured in the crash and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
