Rufino Canete Killed in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Midway Drive
San Diego, California – Rufino Canete, 65, has been identified as the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a car last week in the Midway District of San Diego.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened in the 3800 block of Midway Drive at around 6:59 p.m. on January 2.
Canete was walking across the street when he was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old woman.
First responders performed life-saving measures on the San Diego man, but he succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
