Russell Hawk Killed in Vallejo Crash near Sonoma Boulevard and Carolina Street

Vallejo, California – 76-year-old Russell Hawk died after being crushed between two parked cars that were hit by a car in Vallejo on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident was reported at around 2:30 p.m. near Sonoma Boulevard and Carolina Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

An officer reportedly attempted to pull over a red Ford Fusion on suspicion of reckless driving when the driver failed to stop and drove away at a high rate of speed.

The suspect’s car ran two stop signs and crashed into two parked cars and Hawk, who was standing between the cars.

The Vallejo man was transported to the hospital, where he died.
