Salinas Man Killed in High-Speed Crash in Marina Identified
Monterey County, California: 20-year-old Alexis Sierra Samaniego, of Salinas, died after a traffic collision involving a utility truck that happened in Marina.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an Infiniti Jeep 35 was traveling west on Blanco Road at an extremely high rate of speed when it veered off the road and crashed into a parked utility truck on Research Drive.
The driver of the Infiniti was pronounced dead at the scene.
The utility truck driver was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
