Santa Barbara, California: A motor scooter rider died early Saturday morning after allegedly colliding with a hit-and-run vehicle in Santa Barbara.
Authorities said the accident happened around 2 a.m. at East Cota Street and Santa Barbara Street.
According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, responding emergency personnel found the scooter rider unresponsive in the roadway.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after failed life-saving measures.
No details were given about the car involved, but police believe the driver may have fled the scene after the collision.
